A Navigator Resource to help you on your Christian Journey
Life is a journey…
Yes, it’s a well-worn cliché, but before rolling your eyes, let’s suspend judgment and imagine for a moment that life really is a journey. What would you need for the trip?
Like any good trip, you’d want to know where you are going, you’d want some travelling companions to go with you, and you’d want to have the right skills and equipment to get you there safely. And you would carry some of these things in a backpack.
In our walk with Jesus through this life, there are some things that we will find helpful to know and to be able to do. The Navigator Backpack is a series of short studies addressing some of these things. It is divided into 3 sections:
- Things you need to know
- Things to help you relate to God
- Things to help you relate to others
These studies aren’t everything you need to know about everything. After all, a backpack isn’t a caravan or a holiday home – it’s just a backpack. Neither are they designed to get you there alone. They are best used when worked through with someone else… for example, a person who has been on the journey a little longer helping a newer traveller on the way.
So, if you’ve been on this faith journey a little while, try using the Backpack with someone who could benefit from some of your help. And if you are fairly new to it, find an ‘experienced traveller’ you trust and admire and suggest you work through it together.
Whatever the case, give this a go, because this journey is just too important to make unprepared.
