Our Student Ministry Vision

Perhaps for many of you reading this, your first connection with The Navigators was in a student ministry in years past and through this you caught a vision for God using your life to reach others. In our campus ministry today, we think about how to help a student – KNOW, GROW and GO.

KNOW: We help students who are interested and have questions to read and talk about what the Bible says about who Jesus is. We do this so that they can come to know Jesus as their Lord and Saviour and follow him.

GROW: We establish followers of Jesus and help them grow in their relationship with him. This involves passing on a life of prayer, quiet times, biblical understanding and growth in submission to Jesus in all areas of our lives. We often help students learn to deal with life’s challenges with God’s help.

GO: But it doesn’t stop with personal growth. We help students gain a vision for God using them to go and reach their friends, family, classmates, and people around the world with the same good news about Jesus that they have received.

The NZ Navigators have renewed its organisational focus on our student work over the last 10 years and have seen growth in our campus ministry.  Our prayer is to see this continue, and to grow further.  We are particularly trusting God to reopen our Navigator work at Otago University within the next few years so that we can be raising up more labourers for the harvest field here in New Zealand and beyond.
